Pizza (and Wine) Night

Friday's are for pizza and streaming the chosen series with the family. Last night was Ted Lasso... because Mando's season is over and Umbrella Academy hasn't hit yet. Anyway, back to the pizza. Pizza and wine are kindred spirits. Both start with a good ferment. Both have Mediterranean ancestry. Both give comfort and joy. Here is a shot of our dough, just hanging out last night, waiting to be dressed...

For those of you who don't know (and why would you?), ours is a gluten free household. Cassidy has celiac and two more of us are gluten sensitive. So we REALLY used to miss good pizza. UNTIL we discovered "No Gluten, No Problem Pizza," an amazing cookbook by Kelli and Peter Bronski. (I hope they don't mind a little free publicity!) Now, we are happy every Friday night, nearly. 

And which of our wines do we drink with our various pizzas? Well, to be honest, all of them make good matches. Last night, it was our Barbera (shown in the blog thumbnail).
